Position Overview:

Appliance Service Technician (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

As an Appliance Service Technician at CSC ServiceWorks, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on washers and dryers at various customer locations within your designated area. You will ensure that our machines operate efficiently, meeting customer expectations and minimizing the need for repeat service calls. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Service: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair appliances, including washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and preventative services to ensure appliances function optimally and to prolong their lifespan. This includes cleaning, lubricating, replacing worn components, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers professionally, addressing their inquiries and providing clear information about the repair and maintenance processes. Offer insights on appliance usage and care to prevent future issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of service calls, repairs, parts utilized, and other pertinent information. Prepare service reports and update the internal database with accurate details.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage spare parts and tools inventory. Order necessary components to ensure efficient repair and maintenance operations.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines while working with electrical systems and appliances, ensuring both personal safety and the protection of customer property during service visits.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening
  • Preferred experience in appliance repair or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical stamina to handle and maneuver heavy appliances
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
