Position Overview:

At SeaWorld Entertainment Inc, we are dedicated to the welfare of animals and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. We invite you to join our team as an Automation Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our animal life support systems and water treatment facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, operate, and maintain all control systems, instrumentation, and support equipment essential to our animal care operations.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and high energy, representing SeaWorld with enthusiasm and commitment to excellence.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on instrumentation and support equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on various low and medium voltage industrial electrical systems, components, motors, and machinery, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Install and replace instrumentation support equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition on a daily basis.
  • Install conduits, wires, and pull boxes for electrical system modifications.
  • Calibrate and maintain a wide range of electronic recording and indicating instruments.
  • Schedule, coordinate, supervise, and participate in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of all life support equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and expectations.
  • Assist in various park locations and areas as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of two years' experience at a Level II, plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to groups.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and smelling may be required.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this position is $18.00 per hour.
