Director of Business Development

Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our business development efforts in a designated geographic area.

About Universal Logistics Holdings:

  • We provide comprehensive logistics services to major US ports and rail ramps.
  • We operate from over 40 terminals and 11 container yards.
  • We offer a range of services, including chassis, containers, drayage, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and volume potential.
  • Guide and secure incremental revenue and market share from new business and existing accounts.
  • Conduct market analyses to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Ensure seamless customer onboarding and transition.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of logistics sales experience (intermodal or 3PL preferred).
  • Proven track record of sales and business development success.
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, or logistics (or equivalent).
