Retail Operations Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere. This role emphasizes our core values and guiding principles across all store functions, including sales management, asset protection, and human resources, to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimize profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs and collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
- Set clear expectations for the store team, ensuring accountability for achieving brand standards and performance metrics.
- Manage payroll and supply budgets effectively.
- Oversee daily operational tasks such as scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and payroll accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Conduct training sessions to reinforce loss prevention policies and operational procedures.
- Administer inventory processes, including receipt and dispatch, while maintaining optimal merchandise levels on the sales floor.
- Uphold visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment reflects the brand's image.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture by motivating the sales team to achieve sales and productivity targets.
- Provide training and coaching to enhance product knowledge among team members.
- Inspire and engage the store team by fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with the store team and Store Manager to drive positive changes.
- Seek personal development opportunities and actively request feedback to enhance leadership skills.
- Model and promote exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omnichannel experience.
- Address customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a smooth register experience by staying informed on payment policies and procedures.
- Encourage consistent client engagement through customer relationship management practices.
- Assist in the recruitment and development of a high-performing team.
- Support and follow up on training initiatives and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to resolve human resources issues effectively.
- Recognize and reward outstanding employee performance to enhance team engagement.
- Ensure adherence to all employment practices and policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may vary by brand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years of retail management experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to technology used by the company.
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service and sales leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Knowledge of store operational processes.
- Regular attendance is crucial for meeting company objectives, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Regular climbing as part of operational duties.
