OVERVIEW: The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the overall success of the retail location, collaborating with Store Management to enhance sales performance, recruit and nurture talent, uphold store aesthetics, and manage expenses and inventory losses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive sales and profitability while ensuring the store maintains a visually appealing and pristine environment.
- Identify and execute strategies to meet and surpass business objectives.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards at all times.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Embody the Tommy Hilfiger brand through professional appearance and conduct.
- Oversee the store's productivity and profitability, focusing on sales growth, staffing, and inventory management.
- Assume responsibility for all store operations in the absence of the General Manager or Store Manager.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Comprehend and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of security and safety awareness throughout the store.
- Identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose viable solutions.
- Control all manageable expenses, including payroll allocation.
- Represent the store in management meetings when required.
- Implement the Inventory Shrinkage Improvement Program.
- Ensure productivity in shipment processing, inventory audits, and price adjustments.
- Guarantee the store is equipped with necessary tools and resources.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures of the store.
- Follow directions and complete assigned tasks diligently.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of sales associates who exemplify strong communication and presentation skills.
- Develop team members to enhance their knowledge in product offerings, merchandising, operations, customer service, and career advancement.
- Inspire and guide support staff to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Handle challenging situations while maintaining performance standards.
- Seek assistance from colleagues when necessary.
- Supervise the sales floor to ensure awareness among customers and associates.
- Promote teamwork within the store and the broader company, ensuring respectful treatment of all staff.
- Actively participate in management meetings and staff gatherings.

- Directly supervise specific departments, ensuring optimal performance.
