Housing Services Coordinator Job Description

At Win (Women In Need), we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housing Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Transitional Housing department, you will play a critical role in supporting the permanent housing search of families living in our shelter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all housing services activities to ensure successful placement of families in accordance with WIN's and other agency contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate rental brokers and landlords to ensure access to current information and housing resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to families with the application process, including housing subsidies and supportive housing programs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate housing workshops, group meetings, and apartment viewings to address client needs and provide information and resources.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and clients to develop permanent housing strategies and advocate for eligible families to obtain supportive housing.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with WIN's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree highly desired with 2 years relevant work experience or Associate's degree with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NYC housing market, housing subsidies, and supportive housing programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to network and build strong collaborative relationships with brokers and landlords.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to WIN's Mission and Values.
