CAMBA operates multiple shelters and a drop-in center, each designed to offer a therapeutic, structured, and safe environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our facilities cater to men and women, many of whom face mental health challenges and substance use issues, providing comprehensive services aimed at stabilizing their situations and facilitating their transition to permanent or supported housing.

Position: Housing Support Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Social Services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals and families seeking social service support.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments for service applicants, develop service plans, and guide clients in executing these plans.
  • Identify and leverage community resources to benefit clients.
  • Support clients in achieving their housing objectives by connecting them with relevant services both within CAMBA and externally.
  • Facilitate housing searches for clients ready for housing, including referrals to housing providers and landlord communications.
  • Complete necessary applications for subsidies as directed by funding sources.
  • Provide housing-related training and collaborate with other social services personnel.
  • Review housing packages to ensure suitability of housing providers.
  • Accompany clients to essential appointments related to housing.
  • Verify that housing placements meet quality standards and that all financial obligations are current.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certification in First Aid/CPR may be required.
  • Certification in overdose prevention may be required.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Compensation: Annual salary ranges from $43,000 to $46,000, based on various factors including experience and education.

Status: Full-time position (35 hours per week)
