Grants and Contracts Coordinator I - Fiscal Management

Job Summary

The North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking a Grants and Contracts Coordinator I - Fiscal Management to support grant-related services for its transportation and air quality programs. The successful candidate will provide financial analysis, data management, and grant and contract support to project managers and other staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and data management support to project managers and other staff
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines, as well as internal processes and procedures
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Transportation Department budget and the Unified Planning Work Program
  • Communicate with consultants, sub-recipients, and partners through drafting of transmittals and other methods of communication
  • Assist with the review and documentation of information regarding financial expenditures, agreements, approvals, funding awards, report submittals, and other actions
  • Assist with the review and processing of consultant, sub-recipient, and/or vendor invoices and other payments
  • Update and summarize financial status information and other data
  • Assist in the development of internal processes and resources to support project implementation in line with existing department and agency procedures
  • Assist with report compilation and submittal
  • Create and maintain project records
Requirements
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good customer service and time management skills
  • Solid mathematical skills with an emphasis on financial analyses
  • Ability to follow instructions and apply lessons learned to multiple situations
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
Education and Experience
  • Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field, which is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree
  • At least one year of job-related experience
