About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Research Grants Consultant to join our team at The Hanover Research Council. As a Grants Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in securing funding for their research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and revise proposal narratives to optimize competitiveness for STEM- and/or health science-focused grants
  • Work closely with clients to create strong grant proposals from conception to submission
  • Provide highly professional consultative service to clients throughout the grant writing process
  • Manage remote proposal development teams to ensure all proposals are submitted in a timely manner
  • Independently create client-ready deliverables with minimal guidance or oversight
Requirements
  • 5-10 years' experience reviewing, revising, and consulting on proposals to federal agencies funding investigator-initiated research
  • Strong fact-checking, writing, and editing skills in the English language
  • Experience facilitating team training and managing tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal guidance or oversight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of LaTeX/Overleaf software tools
  • Background working on center-level and multi-investigator proposals (e.g. NIH U- and P-series grants)
Compensation

The compensation range for this contracting opportunity at The Hanover Research Council is $85.00 per hour. Please note this compensation range is contingent on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
