About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-funded startup as a Customer Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer base, providing expert technical support and building strong relationships. If you have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support to the customer base.
  • Guide customers through self-hosted deployments across different clouds and deployment methods.
  • Debug and patch tricky, deployment-specific issues with customers.
  • Contribute features to systematically eliminate common issue points during deployment.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to enable open-source users to deploy the product in their own cloud environments.
  • Work with customers to find the best use cases and maximize our impact and value.
  • Relay product insights and customer feedback to founders/engineering and help shape the direction of product.

Your Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Customer Engineer / Solutions Engineer / Deployed Engineer at an enterprise-facing software company OR 2+ years of experience in DevOps / Software Engineering with an interest in shifting to a more customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to customers.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work in-person with the team in San Francisco and willing to work 60h+/week.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
