Job Description

The Texas General Land Office is seeking a highly skilled Grant Specialist to join our Community Development and Revitalization (CDR) program area. As a Grant Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development, coordination, and administration of grants related to property management and procurement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and review grant documents related to appeals and complaints submitted to the CDR team.
  • Develop and implement work plans and timelines to ensure policies and procedures for grant activity are observed.
  • Review and validate compliance of program staff, vendors, and sub-recipients with guiding policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders and resolve issues that arise.
  • Prepare draft correspondence to community stakeholders regarding CDR programs, required documents, and program statuses.
  • Connect stakeholders with vendor and sub-recipient staff for program administration and implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between the agency, state, vendors, sub-recipients, and grant funding sources.
  • Analyze CDR grant-related data to evaluate program processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Public Administration or Business Administration.
  • Experience in communicating with the public about grant administration, development, coordination, and monitoring.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Tools.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to grants and contract administration.
