Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief Quality & Compliance Officer, you will assist with developing and implementing quality improvement programs, including annual reviews and updates. You will also assist with the development and implementation of program-wide and center-specific quality indicators, data management, education and training of program staff, and preparation of routine and special reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparing routine and special reports of quality improvement activities and performance.
  • Assist with coordinating the development and implementation of program-wide and center-specific quality indicators.
  • Assist with data management for quality improvement activities, including assisting with the coordination of collection, entry, analysis, and assessment of data.
  • Coordinate with national initiatives in PACE quality management.
  • Assist with education for staff on quality improvement activities and techniques.
  • Assist in the interface between consumers and program management for quality-related complaints.
  • Review of quality-related issues within the operation of LIFE-NWPA.
  • Supervise multiple Quality Nurses across many business units.
  • Complete recurring audits that have been defined by the Quality Program.
  • Submit required CMS/State data on a monthly and quarterly basis or when applicable.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education related to Nursing, Business, Social Services, or Healthcare.
  • One year of experience in healthcare quality improvement/management, one year of experience working with the frail and elderly population.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to be resourceful and develop/share knowledge of best practices, even in disciplines outside of the candidate's background.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with frequent regional travel.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Must have the cognitive ability to process and perform tasks for participant safety.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must function independently, maintain confidentiality, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions/circumstances.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile people within the facility.
  • Is subject to lifting, carrying, and supporting participants.
