Job Summary

The University of Delaware seeks a Quality Improvement Specialist to support the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC). The successful candidate will work directly with early care and education and/or school-age program leaders to improve quality efforts in alignment with Delaware's quality improvement system.

Key Responsibilities

Provides on and off-site quality improvement support to early care and education programs.
Organizes and documents information related to program engagement and quality efforts.
Utilizes, coordinates, and adapts techniques to support continuous quality improvement, including relationship building, motivational interviewing, consultation practices, and goal setting.
Coordinates, plans, and facilitates group meetings with early childhood professionals.
Collaborates with a team of quality improvement specialists to design innovative ways to connect and collaborate with the early childhood workforce.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related discipline and two years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of child development, early care and education, and/or school-age environments.
Understanding and experience using adult learning principles.
Detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools and Google suite of tools.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience in collaboration and building partnerships, as well as the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Demonstrates an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
