Job Title: Director of Nursing Quality Improvement and Assurance

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing Quality Improvement and Assurance to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of performance improvement and quality outcomes in all Nursing and Patient Care areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage improvement initiatives through all project phases, ensuring effective management of multiple concurrent projects in all Patient care departments.
  • Develop and execute project plans and timelines, track deliverables, and delegate tasks to ensure project success.
  • Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance with professional standards of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or an equivalent field, and a minimum of four years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three years of which shall have been in a hospital.
  • Previous experience as a Quality Assurance role is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Three or more years of Nursing experience in an Acute care hospital.
  • Previous experience in process analysis, data analysis, project management, and facilitation.
  • Certification or working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean methodologies.
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality Certification (CPHQ) preferred upon hire or attain within 1 year of hire to maintain continued employment.
