About the Role

Forge Group, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Regional Strategist to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a Senior Regional Strategist, you will play a critical role in supporting Department of Defense (DoD) priorities related to engagement with Indo-Pacific partner nations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Senior-level Advising: Provide expert advice on complex issues related to National Defense Priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Cooperative Activity Management: Manage and coordinate the Department's cooperative activities with regional Allies and Partners.
  • Priority Shaping and Implementation: Shape and implement bilateral and multilateral priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Communication and Reporting: Draft and coordinate official correspondence and memos, as well as security cooperation initiative documents and required reports.
  • Interagency Coordination: Facilitate inter and intra-departmental coordination of regional activities.
  • Engagement Management: Track, coordinate, and manage engagements with Indo-Pacific countries of interest.
  • Technology Competition Priorities: Coordinate and review technology competition priorities and initiatives.
  • Administrative Actions: Manage administrative actions and collect and consolidate information activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • US Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • TOP SECRET Clearance: Must have a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Regional Security Experience: 5+ years of experience with regional security issues or international security cooperation.
  • DoD Policy Experience: 5+ years of experience supporting Legislative, financial, and programmatic guidelines and policies that drive the U.S. Government's campaigning and security cooperation efforts.
  • Complex Program Management: 5+ years of experience managing complex programs.
  • Professional Writing: Experience drafting professional documents, including white papers, briefings, and reports.
  • Interagency Coordination: 5+ years of experience coordinating, planning, and facilitating interagency-attended and international events.
  • Public Sector Experience: 5+ years of experience in the public sector, preferably in the DoD or DoS.
  • DoD Policy Formulation and Implementation: 5+ years of experience in DoD Policy formulation and implementation.
  • Executive Support: Experience supporting executive DoD program management support.
  • Foreign Dignitary Experience: Experience working with foreign dignitaries, preferably in the DoD or DoS.
  • MS Office Suite: General literacy with the MS Office Suite applications of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Graphics Software.
  • Executive-Level Correspondence: Proven ability to prepare executive-level correspondence.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Security Protocols: Ability to follow security protocols.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's (4-year) degree from an accredited institution in international affairs, political science, national security, resource management, or finance, or other field directly related to the work.
Desired Qualifications
  • TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI Eligibility: TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
  • Public Sector Experience: 5+ years of experience in the public sector, preferably in the DoD or DoS. Experience supporting INDOPACOM is also preferred.
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in international affairs, political science, national security, resource management, or finance preferred.
