Senior Sales Engineer for Major Accounts

Position Overview:

  • Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog's comprehensive value proposition and strategic vision to clients
  • Oversee the technical engagement during the trial phase, ensuring favorable outcomes for customers
  • Skillfully navigate complex deals utilizing competitive insights and technical acumen
  • Deliver engaging product and technical demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Keep meticulous records and insights in the CRM system regarding client interactions
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams about product insights and competitive landscape

Required Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic about educating clients on observability challenges pertinent to their operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical benefits and business value
  • Proficient in programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, among others
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering
  • Willingness to travel up to 45% of the time, using various modes of transportation

The estimated annual compensation for this role at Datadog ranges from $120,000 to $176,000 USD, accompanied by a competitive equity package and potential variable compensation based on skills and experience.
