Employment Placement Consultant

Position Summary:
Entrust Community Services is in search of a committed Employment Placement Consultant to oversee the execution of the Individual Program Plan (IPP). This position encompasses the intake process, development of IPPs, coordination of family and agency meetings, job training, placement, coaching, and maintaining program documentation. The Employment Placement Consultant will also be responsible for cultivating employer and business partnerships, ensuring adherence to agency principles, accreditation standards, and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Implementation: Conduct participant intake and assessments, set IPP objectives, create training strategies, perform regular reassessments, and document participant progress.
- IPP Formulation: Carry out assessments, document goals and objectives, create participant IPPs, facilitate planning meetings, and manage intake and exit processes.
- Training and Oversight: Maintain comprehensive participant files, log service hours, collaborate with team members and external organizations, execute training plans, educate employers and colleagues, and assist participants in overcoming employment challenges.
- Job Site Services: Provide orientation at job sites, assist employers with job modifications, develop and implement fading strategies, evaluate workstations, offer mobility training, and support participants with their job responsibilities.
- Business Development: Expand business with existing accounts, pursue new business opportunities, follow up on leads, maintain an employer database, prepare reports, and engage in sales team initiatives.
- General Duties: Communicate with funding bodies, care providers, and families, advocate for participants, refer to external services, and coordinate service coverage.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain attendance records for participants.
- Conduct facility tours as required.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge Required: Familiarity with the IPP and Pathways Planning Process, understanding of human and legal rights, knowledge of the human service system, advocacy matters, manufacturing processes, sales methodologies, job development, recruitment, and employment practices.
- Skills Needed: Ability to generate reports, establish goals, design training programs, support employment decisions, conduct sales activities, communicate effectively, comprehend instructions, interpret technical documents, make informed decisions, organize daily tasks, and work collaboratively.
- Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in documenting IPPs, conducting assessments, completing technical reports, engaging in sales, performing research, applying basic math, meeting deadlines, and solving problems.
Education and Experience:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred. A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Work Experience: A minimum of two years in sales or marketing is required. One year of experience in human services is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
- Ability to read and interpret documents, develop training plans, draft reports and correspondence, and effectively communicate in group settings.
Mathematical Competence:
- Ability to perform calculations related to time studies, standards, discounts, and percentages.
Reasoning Skills:
- Ability to address practical problems, interpret instructions, and make decisions with limited standardization.
Certifications:
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
- A valid Washington State Driver's license is required.
- Proof of automobile insurance is necessary if driving a vehicle.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screening.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally climb or balance. May need to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
