Job Overview

Position Summary:

Entrust Community Services is on the lookout for a committed Employment Placement Coordinator to oversee the implementation of the Individual Program Plan (IPP). This position entails the intake process, crafting of IPPs, conducting family and agency meetings, providing job training, facilitating placements, and offering coaching, alongside maintaining program documentation. The Employment Placement Coordinator will also focus on building relationships with employers and commercial entities, ensuring adherence to agency philosophy, accreditation standards, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Implementation: Carry out intake procedures and assessments, set IPP objectives, create training strategies, conduct regular reassessments, and keep thorough records of participant progress.
  • IPP Formulation: Execute assessments, document goals and objectives, develop participant IPPs, lead planning sessions, and manage intake and exit processes.
  • Training and Oversight: Maintain comprehensive participant files, log service hours, collaborate with colleagues and external organizations, implement training strategies, educate employers and coworkers, and assist participants in overcoming employment challenges.
  • Job Site and Employer Services: Offer job site orientation, aid employers in job modifications, create and implement fading plans, evaluate workstations, provide mobility training, and support participants with job responsibilities.
  • Business Development: Expand business with existing accounts, pursue new opportunities, follow up on leads, maintain an employer database, submit reports, and engage in sales team initiatives.
  • General Duties: Communicate with funding organizations, care providers, and families, advocate for participants, refer to external services, and coordinate service coverage.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Track participant attendance.
  • Conduct facility tours as required.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge Required: Familiarity with the IPP and Pathways Planning Process, understanding of human and legal rights, knowledge of the human service system, advocacy issues, manufacturing operations, sales techniques, job development, recruitment, and employment practices.
  • Skills Required: Ability to generate reports, establish goals, design training programs, support employment choices, conduct sales activities, communicate effectively, comprehend instructions, interpret technical documents, make informed decisions, organize daily tasks, and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in documenting IPPs, conducting assessments, completing technical reports, sales, research, basic mathematics, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving.

Education and Experience:

  • Educational Background: An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred. A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years in sales or marketing. One year of experience in human services is preferred.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, develop training plans, draft reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively in group settings.

Mathematical Competence:

  • Ability to perform calculations involving time studies, standards, discounts, and percentages.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to address practical problems, interpret instructions, and make decisions with limited standardization.

Certifications:

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid and current driver's license is required.
  • Proof of automobile insurance is necessary if driving is involved.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a mandatory drug screening.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally climb or balance. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
