Culinary Excellence at Gecko Hospitality

We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our team at Gecko Hospitality in Honolulu, HI.

About the Role:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in leading the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in high-volume kitchen management and a proven track record of controlling costs associated with running a profitable business.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and execution
  • Maintain consistent top-quality ingredients in every dish
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of high-volume kitchen management experience
  • Proven experience creating a safe work environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and knowledge of systems, methods, and processes
