About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Research Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Research and Advanced Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing low-voltage (LV) circuits and ASICs for traction inverter applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop LV circuits and ASICs for traction inverter applications
  • Research and develop new technologies and techniques for power electronics and ASIC design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test LV circuits and ASICs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in power electronics and ASIC design
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics and LV circuit design
  • 3+ years of experience in ASIC design and development
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design
  • Experience with EDA tools and IC design flow
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • PHD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with MATLAB, PLECS, Simplorer, and SPICE
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems and high-temperature circuit design
  • Understanding of automotive applications and requirements
  • Experience with project management tools
