About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Circuit Design Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative electronic systems and products for our next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement electronic circuits, including schematic and PCB layout, using the latest analysis and simulation methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical & Electronic HW Technical Specialists and design teams, to develop and implement new electronic systems and products.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Work with test equipment, including programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic and network analyzers, and temperature chambers, to validate circuit designs and ensure compliance with automotive reliability requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological developments and advancements in electronics and circuit design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics circuits design, modeling, and analysis, preferably in a high-reliability industry (automotive, aerospace, medical, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD tools, such as Mentor Graphics and Cadence Design Systems.
  • Experience with circuit analysis software tools, such as Mathcad, and simulation tools, including Spice and Saber.
  • Experience with vehicle communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Knowledgeable on microprocessors, solid-state memory, cameras, displays, and sensors.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard interfaces, including I2C, SPI, Ethernet, LVDS, DDR, PCI, I2S, A2B.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business users and engineering professionals, including globally distributed teams.
  • Motivated and self-starter with collaboration and leadership skills.
