Position Overview
The Clinical Education Program Coordinator is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and execution of orientation initiatives for nursing and clinical support roles. This role involves assessing and enhancing continuing education and competency programs for all hospital staff, with a primary focus on nursing personnel.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, organize, and implement onboarding programs for new nursing staff and other clinical support roles.
2. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs, and design and deliver ongoing training programs for hospital staff.
3. Act as a liaison with nursing schools and clinical programs to manage student clinical placements based on unit capacity.
4. Facilitate student orientation sessions as required.
5. Coordinate and oversee certification courses, ensuring the recertification of professional staff is maintained.
6. Maintain accurate educational records of employees, whether in digital or physical formats.
7. Generate reports for management regarding continuing education initiatives as necessary.
8. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments to enhance clinical competency among hospital staff.
9. Draft, revise, and publish nursing policies for the hospital.
10. Assist in organizing and delivering American Heart Association courses.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Nursing

Experience Requirements
Required:
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital environment
Preferred:
- Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting
- Proven experience in developing and delivering both theoretical and practical clinical education programs that require skills demonstration in an acute care setting, along with experience in managing educational databases.

Licensure/Certification Requirements
Minimum:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association) within six months of hire
- PALS certification (American Heart Association) within six months of hire
Preferred:
- Instructor certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
