Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is a highly skilled healthcare professional who delivers comprehensive patient care in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

This role seeks opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education, staff development, and hospital committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescribe and regulate medications per written collaborative agreement.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient conditions to patient assessment and treatment.
  • Demonstrate clinical and theoretical staff competence for the designated area.
  • Know and demonstrate understanding, skills, and principles of infection prevention, reduction, and control.
  • Coordinate with other medical professionals within an interdisciplinary team and work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments of patients and families, including psychosocial, cognitive, and personal assets and limitations.
  • Establish medical diagnoses, order and evaluate diagnostic studies, and perform and monitor therapeutic procedures.
  • Act as a resource to healthcare staff and implement educational programs to improve patient management.
  • Acknowledge the importance of research and contribute ideas, collect data, share knowledge, and apply new findings to practice.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an Advanced Practice Nursing Program or Physician Assistant program and appropriate licensure for the State of Indiana.
  • Clinical nursing experience as a RN for five (5) years, with Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Indiana, Advanced Practice Nurse and Controlled Substance Registration licenses, and DEA Registration.
