Job Summary

Under the oversight of Human Resources, the Director of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition plans, initiates, monitors, directs, coordinates, and administers programs relating to recruitment and employment of personnel for NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) healthcare settings.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable NYC Health + Hospitals policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs, plans, and implements the overall strategy for System-wide and healthcare setting recruitment services.
  • Defines roles and responsibilities for the recruitment team and manages team throughout the recruitment process.
  • Supervises the team by monitoring and evaluating staff performance and quality of work, and reports on team's performance to appropriate leadership.
  • Oversees operating budget; ensures effective use of resources within budgetary guidelines.
  • Identifies and meets staffing needs to support continuity of business operations.
  • Interfaces overall H+H recruitment programs with those of the healthcare settings.
  • Provides leadership, consultation, and coordination for recruitment programs and related initiatives.
  • Analyzes trends and projections for workforce staffing.
  • Coordinates recruitment activities of Central Office business units and healthcare settings, including fellowship (forgivable loan) programs.
  • Develops recruitment resources and linkages with the educational community to enhance recruitment among graduates.
  • Develops, attends, and accesses recruitment activities, such as job fairs and career days hosted Systemwide, or by the healthcare settings or other sponsors.
  • Formulates the application of management information systems to provide analytical tools for assessing and evaluating recruitment programs and activities.
  • Develops workflows and metrics for measurement efforts and effectiveness.
  • Performs other related duties, as directed.
Requirements
  • All candidates must hold a current certification or credential in talent acquisition, or a closely related certification or credential (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of experience driving and implementing recruitment programs, plans, and initiatives, working with the latest technology, tools, and market data for recruiting and hiring talent in a healthcare or related setting.
