Senior Design Engineer for Propeller Products

Zobility is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Design Engineer to support the development and maintenance of propeller products. As a key member of our Propeller Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the establishment of propeller system major inspection intervals and required activities.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify frequent maintenance degraders and oversee analysis activities, including damage tolerance and component testing.
- Support the development and continued operation of propeller components, including actuators, hubs, transfer tubes, and control components.
- Design mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide manufacturing support and troubleshoot assembly/testing issues.
- Generate reports for engineering work performed based on analysis and test activities.
- Interact with internal and external customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Participate in internal and external product design engineering teams and reviews.
- Coordinate with engineering teams in Windsor Locks, CT, and Figeac, France, as well as MROs and program offices.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support maintainers, suppliers, customers, and aircraft operators.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
- Aerospace experience.
- Project engineering experience.
- Experience providing manufacturing support and/or in-service engineering support for maintenance activities.
- Experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics or similar CAD software.
- Experience designing mechanical assemblies with standard parts.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T dimensioning and tolerancing).
- Experience with typical Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity or competency with Finite Element Analysis.
- Ability to present to customers, operators, and at various levels of leadership internally and externally.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
