About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Propeller Systems Engineering team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of propeller systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of propeller systems, including mechanical components and assemblies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including technical specifications and drawings
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support the development of new products and technologies, including concept development and testing
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
  • Experience with 3D modeling software, such as Siemens NX or Unigraphics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with finite element analysis and other simulation tools
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly
