Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Indotronix Avani Group. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of propeller systems for military and commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and development of propeller systems across all phases of the design cycle, from concept to manufacturing and operational service.
  • Design mechanical components and assemblies with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure design requirements are met and manufacturing processes are optimized.
  • Generate reports and documentation for engineering work performed, including analysis and test activities.
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met and manufacturing processes are optimized.
  • Participate in internal and external product design engineering teams and reviews.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams in Windsor Locks, CT, and Figeac, France, as well as MROs and program offices.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support maintainers, suppliers, customers, and aircraft operators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics or similar CAD software.
  • Experience with designing mechanical assemblies with standard parts (seals, screws, bearings, plugs, and pins).
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T dimensioning and tolerancing).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity or competency with Finite Element Analysis.
