About the Role

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and providing emotional support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pain Management and Symptom Control: Develop and implement individualized care plans to manage patients' pain and symptoms, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Patient Assessment and Documentation: Conduct regular assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, documenting all interactions and interventions in the patient's chart.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families on end-of-life care, pain management, and other relevant topics.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and mentor Hospice Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses, ensuring they provide high-quality care and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Quality Improvement and Compliance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Medicare Conditions of Participation and Joint Commission standards.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Possess a current, valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama.
  • CPR Certification: Hold current CPR certification.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid Alabama driver's license.
