Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs, ensuring that each student receives a tailored education plan that meets their unique needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth, fostering a sense of community and belonging among students.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student, utilizing a range of instructional techniques and materials to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with other teachers and specialists to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed to facilitate student participation and independence, and monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education is required.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to develop and implement them effectively is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
