Job Summary

Ideal Learning Academies of Louisville, Inc. is a leading provider of early childhood education services. We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Auburndale Learning Academy location.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development in children aged 3 to 5 years.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that fosters positive relationships between children, families, and staff.
  • Implement the Reggio-inspired curriculum with fidelity, ensuring that all aspects of the program are aligned with the Greater Louisville Head Start and Early Head Start services.
  • Prepare and modify weekly lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with diagnosed or suspected special needs.
  • Provide consistent and individualized support to children, including home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Participate in ongoing reflective coaching and self-assessment to ensure continuous improvement in teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with family services, disabilities/mental health, and health/nutrition staff to meet the needs of individual children and families.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • State-awarded preschool teacher certification or equivalent experience teaching preschool-aged children.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Valid state-issued ID and reliable transportation.
