Job Title: Senior Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst

The Senior Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing revenue cycle information systems for our clients. This includes working with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and client leadership to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop revenue cycle information systems, including but not limited to PBAR, Siemens MedSeries 4, Cerner, Change Healthcare, nThrive (MedAssets) Suite, Relay Assurance Plus, Visiquate, GE Centricity, PatientKeeper, and others.
  • Identify and document information technology design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs and generate need-gap analyses.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and devise or modify procedures to solve problems using data processing.
  • Act as an application administrator, ensuring data integrity, maintaining system security, extracting, analyzing, and transforming data, facilitating user/vendor communication, and managing software upgrades, implementations, and/or conversions.
  • Understand the functional workflow and processes of the Departments (s)he supports and maintain system functionality and design in support of workflow efficiency and user/department productivity.
  • Analyze, plan, design, create, and maintain intermediate to advanced-level reports using various technologies, including but not limited to IBM Showcase, QlikView, Cerner Command Language (CCL), OnDemand, and Siemens MedSeries 4 Query/Reports.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant revenue cycle experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an IS healthcare setting.
  • Experience with 2 full life cycle implementations (from scoping/planning through to go-live support).
  • At least 3 years of Soarian Application experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with HL7, Patient Access, and Revenue Cycle systems.
Technical Skills and Industry Knowledge:
  • Ability to troubleshoot Soarian interface issues and third-party applications.
  • Experience with systems like PBAR, MedSeries4, Change Healthcare, nThrive, and PatientKeeper (with focus on scheduling, registration, HIM coding, patient accounting, and billing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in creating and maintaining reports using tools like IBM Showcase, QlikView, Cerner Command Language (CCL), OnDemand, and Siemens MedSeries4.
  • Familiarity and experience with 3M, PBAR, MedSeries4, Change Healthcare, nThrive, Patient Keeper experience, and/or Revenue Cycle experience (Scheduling, Registration, HIM coding & abstracting, Patient Accounting and Billing) a plus.
Customer Service & Teamwork:
  • Strong focus on customer service, capable of addressing user questions, concerns, and resolving system issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work closely with internal department users, vendors, and peers.
Performance Improvement/Transformation/Innovation:
  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of and actively participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Identifies and proactively pursues business transformation, uses innovation to enhance/solve current system and business workflow problems.
Reports & Analytics:
  • Generate both standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Ability to design and assist in developing non-standard/custom reports as required.
Training:
  • Trains new/current staff members on applicable systems/applications.
  • Responsible for working with customer and/or vendors with training on new systems being implemented and rolled out for use in the departments.
Other Duties and On-Call:
  • Ability to fulfill On-Call requirements and other duties as assigned.
