Role Overview

Your Career Path

As the Systems Engineering Manager, you will serve as the technical authority for your District Systems Engineering team. Collaborating closely with the District Sales Manager, you and your team will foster relationships with clients, aiming to assist them in identifying and mitigating advanced cyber threats. Your expertise will guide customers in selecting the appropriate applications from our platform, ensuring they remain at the forefront of cybersecurity defenses.

We seek a leader who can enhance our sales teams by providing training and technical expertise as a product specialist. Additionally, you will relay insights to the product management team regarding new feature requests and product enhancements based on customer feedback. Your team, in collaboration with sales account managers, will work to outmaneuver competitor technologies and expand market presence, ultimately ensuring our clients feel secure as they utilize our solutions for safe digital transactions.

Your Contributions

  • Recruit and onboard top-tier systems engineers in the region.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering their engagement and career success.
  • Assist field systems engineers in complex evaluations and challenging customer scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain an updated systems engineering training curriculum.
  • Cultivate relationships with channel partners and their technical teams to ensure proper training and support for installations.
  • Provide strong technical leadership during customer interactions, sharing security trends and best practices.
  • Step in as a systems engineer to support team members during resource conflicts or absences.
  • Serve as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical challenges.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients to establish reference accounts and assist account teams in driving business growth.
  • Present as an expert to clients at all levels, from technicians to executives.
  • Lead discussions on industry trends and emerging security landscape changes.
  • Analyze competitor products and position ours as the superior choice.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to define requirements and product features for major clients.
  • Provide design consultation and best practice guidance during the pre-sales process for strategic opportunities.
  • Oversee advanced proof of concept testing in strategic accounts.
  • Deliver advanced training for Partner SEs on updates to our product suite.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of competitor sales strategies.
  • Expect to travel 50-75% within the region.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • Proven experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager.
  • Background as a Senior System Engineer or Consulting Engineer.
  • Familiarity with security product market trends and an understanding of our technology roadmap and development efforts, including competitor offerings.
  • Knowledge of delivering comprehensive security solutions to our customer base.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation abilities.
  • A results-oriented mindset focused on providing clients with the best solutions as a trusted advisor.
