Role Overview
Your Career
As the Manager of Systems Engineering, you will serve as the technical authority for your District Systems Engineering team. Collaborating closely with the District Sales Manager, you and your team will establish strong relationships with clients, assisting them in identifying and mitigating advanced cyber threats. Your expertise will guide customers in selecting the appropriate applications from our platform, ensuring they remain at the forefront of cybersecurity.
We seek a leader who can cultivate our sales teams by providing training and technical expertise as a product specialist. You will also relay insights to the product management team regarding new feature requests and enhancements based on customer feedback. Your team, in conjunction with sales account managers, will work to outmaneuver competitor technologies and expand market presence among major accounts, ultimately ensuring clients feel secure in their digital transactions.
Your Contributions
- Recruit and onboard top-tier systems engineers in the region.
- Mentor, train, and evaluate team members to foster engagement and career success.
- Assist field systems engineers in complex evaluations and challenging customer scenarios.
- Develop and maintain an updated systems engineering training curriculum.
- Build relationships with channel partners and their technical teams to ensure adequate training and support for installations.
- Provide effective technical leadership during customer interactions, sharing security trends and best practices.
- Serve as a floating systems engineer to cover resource conflicts or vacations.
- Act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers to solidify reference accounts and support account teams in driving business growth.
- Present as an expert to customers at all levels, from technicians to executives.
- Lead discussions on industry trends and necessary adaptations to the security landscape.
- Analyze competitor products and position ours as the superior choice.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to define requirements and features for large customers, providing valuable feedback.
- Offer design consultation and best practice mentorship during the pre-sales process for strategic opportunities.
- Oversee advanced proof of concept testing in strategic accounts, either on-site or in lab facilities.
- Deliver advanced training for Partner SEs on updates to our product suite.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor sales strategies.
- Expect 50-75% travel within the region.
Qualifications
Your Background
- Proven experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager.
- Background as a Senior System Engineer or Consulting Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of security product market trends and awareness of our technology roadmap and development efforts, along with competitor offerings.
- Expertise in delivering comprehensive security solutions to our customer base.
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- A quota-driven mindset focused on providing the best solutions for clients as a trusted advisor.
