Your Role

As the Sales Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical efforts of your District Systems Engineering team. Collaborating closely with the District Sales Manager, you will foster relationships with clients, guiding them in identifying and implementing solutions to combat advanced cyber threats. Your expertise will empower your team to stay ahead of emerging security challenges.

We seek a leader who can enhance our sales teams through training and technical support, acting as a product expert. You will also relay valuable insights to the product management team regarding feature requests and enhancements based on customer feedback. Your team, in conjunction with sales account managers, will work to outperform competitor technologies and expand our market presence.

Your Contributions
  • Recruit and onboard top-tier systems engineers within the territory.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure their professional growth and engagement.
  • Assist field systems engineers in navigating complex evaluations and customer challenges.
  • Develop and maintain an updated systems engineering training curriculum.
  • Build partnerships with channel partners and their technical teams to ensure effective support for installations.
  • Provide expert technical leadership during customer interactions, sharing industry trends and best practices.
  • Step in as a systems engineer when necessary to address resource conflicts or coverage needs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues arising during pre-sales and post-sales processes.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clients to strengthen reference accounts and support account teams in driving business growth.
  • Present as an expert to clients at all organizational levels, from technicians to executives.
  • Engage in discussions about industry trends and necessary adaptations to the security landscape.
  • Analyze competitor products and position our offerings as the superior choice.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to define requirements and features for large clients, providing essential feedback.
  • Guide design consultations and best practices during the pre-sales phase for strategic opportunities.
  • Oversee advanced proof-of-concept testing in strategic accounts.
  • Deliver advanced training for partners on updates to our product suite.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor sales strategies.
  • Expect to travel 50-75% within the region.
Your Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager.
  • Background as a Senior System Engineer or Consulting Engineer.
  • Familiarity with security product market trends and an understanding of our technology roadmap and competitor offerings.
  • Expertise in delivering comprehensive security solutions to our clientele.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Driven by a quota-focused mindset, prioritizing the best solutions for clients.
