Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Wilmington, NC

Schedule: 8 – 5 pm Monday - Friday

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, subject to managerial approval.
  • This role primarily involves desk work, with occasional visits to the Store Room for parts procurement.
  • Responsible for overseeing procurement activities and optimizing processes that ensure the timely delivery of MRO parts to production teams.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas

Key Procurement Responsibilities:

Supplier Documentation Management:

  • Oversee non-disclosure agreements and insurance certificates for a large supplier base.
  • Process new supplier additions and manage numerous supplier change requests annually.
  • Conduct part cleanup within the PeopleSoft system.
  • Review stock-out part documentation.

Support for MRO Replenishment:

  • Monitor order issues and expedite as necessary.
  • Verify order confirmations.
  • Analyze purchase price variance and PO closure reports for necessary adjustments.
  • Follow up on vendor inquiries and parts purchasing.

Invoice Resolution Support:

  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies for production parts.
  • Guide users on the PeopleSoft system to address invoice-related issues.

International Shipment Assistance:

  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation.
  • Retrieve parts from the Storeroom for shipment preparation.

Repair Process Management:

  • Investigate repairs returned to the Storeroom.
  • Facilitate bin-to-bin transfers as needed.
  • Prepare repairs for return shipment to suppliers.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks to track ongoing repairs.

Inventory Management:

  • Conduct daily cycle counts for the Storeroom.
  • Perform daily counts of raw materials for coatings and inks.

Inventory Relocation Support:

  • Assist with the relocation of inventory within the Stores.
  • Identify available locations for new inventory parts.
  • Optimize product placement for improved cycle count accuracy.
  • Execute bin-to-bin adjustments as required.

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft.
  • Effective at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledgeable in handling proprietary documents and inventory control procedures.
  • Capable of effective communication with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Quick to learn procurement policies, processes, and tools.

Education: A minimum of a two-year degree is preferred, though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
