Procurement Specialist II

Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview:

This role encompasses the comprehensive management of procurement processes and the enhancement of activities that facilitate the timely delivery of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) components to production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee non-disclosure agreements and insurance certificates for a substantial supplier base.

2. Manage the onboarding of new suppliers and handle numerous supplier modification requests annually.

3. Conduct part data cleanup within the enterprise resource planning system.

4. Analyze stock-out reports to ensure availability of critical components.

5. Address order discrepancies and expedite as necessary.

6. Validate order confirmations and ensure accuracy.

7. Review purchase price variance and purchase order closure reports for necessary adjustments.

8. Follow up on vendor inquiries and procurement-related information requests.

9. Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies related to production materials.

10. Provide guidance to users on the procurement system to resolve invoice challenges.

11. Prepare shipping documentation as required.

12. Retrieve parts from inventory for shipment preparation.

13. Investigate returned repairs and manage inventory adjustments.

14. Process shipping documentation and prepare repairs for return to suppliers.

15. Conduct monthly inventory checks against purchase orders to monitor repair status.

16. Perform daily cycle counts and inventory assessments.

17. Assist with the relocation of inventory within storage areas.

18. Identify suitable locations for new inventory items.

19. Optimize product placement for enhanced inventory accuracy.

Required Experience:

- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems.

- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple responsibilities.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across all organizational levels.

- Understanding of handling proprietary materials and documentation.

- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.

- Effective communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

- Quick adaptability to procurement policies, procedures, and tools.

Desired Skills:

- Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and MRO processes.

Educational Background:

- A minimum of a 2-year degree is preferred, although relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
