Position Overview:
Our Real Estate Loan Specialists are the core of our sales team. In this position, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our property investor clients, assisting them in finding the optimal product that meets their requirements. You will guide clients through the application process, ensuring they receive exceptional customer service and support. You will collaborate with underwriting and management teams to structure loans and ensure we exceed both client expectations and corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 10-30 phone meetings daily, with warm leads provided each day.
- Ensure timely follow-ups via phone, email, or SMS.
- Identify client objectives and assist in structuring the appropriate loan product to meet their needs.
- Originate commercial real estate loans, focusing on construction and renovation financing with a target of $5M in closed and funded loans monthly.
- Assess collateral properties to determine their market value, condition, and potential risks.
- Structure loan transactions, including terms, interest rates, fees, and repayment schedules, while adhering to company policies and risk guidelines.
- Collaborate with borrowers, property investors, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide guidance throughout the loan process.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by proactively communicating with borrowers, providing regular updates on loan progress, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Manage a pipeline of loan applications, ensuring timely follow-up and adherence to closing timelines while maintaining accountability to productivity metrics and KPIs.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of loan origination processes, systems, and strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending or real estate.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, remote work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven sales ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed lending targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Proficient in using loan origination systems, CRMs, and other relevant software.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in real estate lending (e.g., NMLS) are a plus.
