Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician to join our team at Gerstenfeld & Gerstenfeld MDS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ophthalmic equipment and procedures, including fundus photography, corneal topography, OCT, manifest refraction, and applanation tonometry. Knowledge of B-scan and Ocular Biometry is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient care and procedures
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment
  • Perform diagnostic tests and measurements
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication
Requirements

• Strong understanding of ophthalmic equipment and procedures

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

• Certification in ophthalmic assisting or related field a plus
