Responsibilities- Provide technical support to Ophthalmology Clinics, Faculty, and Residents
- Perform various services to facilitate patient care and efficient clinic operation
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Credentials required: JCAHPO Certification at the Ophthalmic Assistant level, Ophthalmic Technician certification within one year of hire, and current CPR Certification
- Primary source verification: University Hospital's designated Background Check Company, JCAHPO Ophthalmic Technician Certification, and CPR certification
The position requires standing or walking 2/3 of the time, sitting approximately 1/3 of the time, and use of hands to handle or feel over 2/3 of the time. Vision requirements include clear vision at 20 inches or less and clear vision at 20 ft.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is moderate noise, with exposure to Blood borne pathogens that requires use of personal protective equipment.
