Strategic Business Development
Engage effectively with all targeted accounts while crafting and executing a strategic plan to meet overall sales objectives. Serve as a model for developing and implementing business strategies aimed at maximizing both territory and corporate goals, including analyzing critical sales and marketing data to identify the best opportunities. For each targeted account, gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer's environment, including identifying clinical, financial, and key decision-makers, along with their primary concerns and opportunities for Coloplast. Ensure timely progression of the sales process with all targeted accounts, achieving or surpassing the business and marketing goals established for each product line. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Financial Business Models and perform cost/benefit analyses. Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in business conduct, complying with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Sales Proficiency
Exhibit strong consultative selling skills to uncover customer strategies and present value propositions, including financial and clinical impacts. Organize daily call routines and account penetration strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of key accounts based on sales potential and geographical considerations. Utilize all available resources to enhance sales growth, including marketing tools, sales reports, and educational materials. Stay informed about competitive activities and sales performance within each targeted account.Relationship Management
Employ a strategic approach to influence and build relationships, fostering collaboration across product categories to enhance customer engagement. Retain and expand business within the existing customer base by identifying new opportunities and developing effective sales strategies. Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships that promote increased product usage within target accounts. Establish and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to share insights and leverage organizational synergies.Clinical Expertise and Continuous Learning
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical and technical product knowledge. Leverage clinical expertise to educate peers on various product categories. Maintain a strong understanding of competitive products and current market trends. Participate actively in industry-related training and events to explore business development opportunities.Interactions with Healthcare Facilities
Regularly engage with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff. Be present during procedures and surgeries as required to assist healthcare professionals with product-related inquiries, adhering to operating room protocols. Comply with all healthcare facility standards and protocols.Administrative Responsibilities
Organize and manage information using CRM systems or similar tools as directed. Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks, including sales reporting and inventory management.Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in medical technology sales, or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant sales experience. A minimum of 5 years of successful medical sales experience, particularly in selling to physicians. Experience in Urology and implantable device sales is preferred. Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities. Proficient negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to follow-through. Exceptional listening skills and the ability to work independently with a results-oriented mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel overnight (30-50%). Demonstrated time management and administrative skills.
