Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Automation Engineer to enhance our team and spearhead the refinement of our production processes. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in industrial automation systems and a demonstrated capability to design, implement, and sustain intricate automation solutions. You will be tasked with creating and executing automation strategies that elevate efficiency, productivity, and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy advanced automation systems for production processes, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA system integration.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to pinpoint process enhancement opportunities and formulate automation strategies to address them.
  • Examine process data to fine-tune control parameters and boost system performance.
  • Diagnose automation system challenges and implement timely corrective measures.
  • Stay informed about the latest automation technologies and industry best practices.
  • Offer technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation system design, particularly in chemical processing or metallurgy.
  • Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley) and SCADA (Ignition) systems.
  • Strong grasp of control theory principles, including adaptive and model predictive control strategies.
  • Familiarity with process instrumentation and industrial communication protocols relevant to metal manufacturing and production.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven history of delivering innovative solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Ability to excel both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
