Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit expertise by establishing departmental standards and refining existing methodologies.
  • Oversee and allocate tasks to ensure project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Assist clients in strategic assessments to formulate concepts backed by engineering analyses for the enhancement, expansion, or automation of current facilities.
  • Collaborate with clients, various IPS disciplines, and vendors to create comprehensive automation solutions.
  • Advise on the effective implementation of ISA S95 levels to fulfill client requirements both presently and in the future.
  • Engage with process design and project teams to facilitate the successful execution of project studies.
  • Design and specify DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based process control systems tailored for IPS clients and projects.
  • Conduct automation-related tasks as assigned, including the creation of I/O lists, instrumentation lists, and specifications for control elements.
  • Support the development of IQ/OQ documentation and partake in systems analysis, validation, and verification processes.
  • Identify, qualify, and collaborate with third-party system integrators as needed to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with end users and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure the effective application of automation products.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of diverse engineering experience with comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and applications within the Process Automation sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - ME/EE/ChemE/Automation/Manufacturing or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience with industrial process control systems, including DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with pharmaceutical process instrumentation.
  • Proficient in engineering design software and computer-aided drafting.
  • Familiarity with ISA standards and the interpretation of P&I diagrams.
  • Experience in developing cGMP and GAMP automation lifecycle documentation.
  • Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer.

Work Environment:

  • Travel may be required based on project locations.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive, involving fieldwork and activities at client sites within construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other operational areas.
