Cogir Senior Living is seeking dedicated, empathetic, and responsible Medication Care Partners (Med Techs) to enhance the care provided in our esteemed retirement community, Cogir of South Bay.

As a Medication Care Partner (Med Tech), you will be responsible for delivering direct support to our senior residents, adhering to individualized medication and treatment protocols in a supportive environment. Available Positions: Full-time and Part-time roles across various shifts (8 hours).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with the daily administration of medications, including self-administration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in resident conditions.
  • Coordinate medication orders and deliveries with pharmacies.
  • Ensure medication files and medical records are up-to-date.
  • Provide compassionate support with daily living activities as needed.
  • Encourage independence and offer emotional support through engagement and companionship.
  • Facilitate participation in life enrichment activities.
  • Promote effective communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and a passion for working with people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of caregiving experience, including medication administration in a community setting.
  • Current caregiver training/certification as required by state regulations, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and BLS certification or ability to acquire.
  • Experience in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living is advantageous.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
