Key Responsibilities of a Medication Care Partner (Med Tech):
- Assist residents with the daily administration of medications, including self-administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in resident status.
- Coordinate medication orders and deliveries with pharmacies.
- Ensure medication files and medical records are current and organized.
- Provide compassionate support with daily living activities as needed.
- Encourage independence and offer emotional support through engagement and companionship.
- Facilitate participation in life enrichment activities.
- Promote effective communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
Qualifications We Seek:
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with people.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, preferably in medication administration within a community setting.
- Current caregiver training/certification as required by state regulations, or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and BLS certification or the ability to acquire them.
- Experience in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living is advantageous.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
