Job Summary

As a key member of the Sentara team, the Patient Experience Manager will be responsible for leading the organization's understanding of the voice of the patient through data analysis, interpretation, and presentation. This role will interface with measurement partner data from surveys, complaints, and grievances to build a comprehensive understanding of patient perceptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of patient experience initiatives to improve quality and service.
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders to create and deploy hospital action plans to address patient experience gaps.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with measurement partners to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Train and develop leaders and team members in experience process and behavioral best practices.
  • Lead patient advisory councils to gather feedback and insights from patients and families.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Previous management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and developing training materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data visualization skills, preferably with tools like Excel and Tableau.
  • Training and development experience, including classroom and micro-learning.
  • Press Ganey portal expertise.
  • Fluency in classic solutions for patient experience, such as the Nursing Bundle and AIDET.
