X-Ray Technologist Job Description

At Patient First, we are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure.
  • Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
  • Create and document x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines.
  • Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment.
  • Use and understand the bell system.
  • Filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork.
  • Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Keyboarding experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • One year of clerical experience preferred.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist or a Limited Radiologic Technologist by the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
