Job Summary

As a Patient Experience Manager at Sentara, you will lead the organization's understanding of the voice of the patient through analytics, interpretation, presentation, and actionable information. You will interface measurement partner data from surveys, complaints, and grievances, rounding observations, and other inputs to build a holistic understanding of patient perceptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop leaders and team members in experience process and behavioral best practices.
  • Lead Patient Advisory Councils.
  • Create and deploy Hospital Action Plans in collaboration with hospital leaders.
  • Serve as Project Manager for Hospital Action Plans.
  • Develop and implement data analytics, data visualization, comment analysis, and report-building skills.
  • Research and prioritize best practices.
  • Provide training and development, accountability systems, and tracking.
Requirements
  • Data Visualization skills (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
  • Training and Development/Teaching skills.
  • Press Ganey (or similar measurement partner) portal expertise.
  • Fluency in classic solutions for patient experience (e.g., Nursing Bundle, AIDET, etc.).
  • Micro-learning application competence.
  • Process Improvement/Project Management experience preferred.
  • Patient Experience certification preferred.
  • Social Anthropology fundamentals (ethnography, journey flow mapping).
