Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the design, manufacturing, and delivery stages of the Swordfish Program.
  • Analyze and lead the execution of tasks assigned by program leadership.
  • Collaborate with functional leadership to ensure appropriate team staffing.
  • Engage with suppliers and clearly communicate project requirements.
  • Update internal and customer leadership on the progress of tasks assigned to the POD Team.
  • Assist in proposal development and new program acquisition initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic work environment characterized by high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings. Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication abilities are essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM-related field with a minimum of 9 years of experience, or 7 years with a master's degree, or 4 years of experience with a Ph.D. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Radar POD Development.
  • Required experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Background in supply chain, manufacturing, and supplier interactions.
  • Familiarity with Hardware Design Processes.
  • Experience in business capture and proposal development.
  • Involvement in Radar POD systems development, integration, and testing.
  • Leadership experience across various engineering domains such as Antenna Design, RF Mode Development & Signal Processing, POD Design, Design for Manufacturability, Integration, and Testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a STEM-related discipline.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other engineering leadership roles within a program office.
  • Direct experience in managing or leading engineering teams.
  • Contributions to product line development and technical roadmaps.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Testing processes for large programs.
  • Problem-solving experience in a large team environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

This role is contingent upon the candidate possessing an Active Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman evaluates various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
