Job Summary:

The Village for Families and Children is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the HR Department in daily operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR files, performing data entry and administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, including composition, auditing, terming, and archiving.
• Perform data entry and administrative tasks in HRIS and other applicable systems.
• Complete employment verifications and assist with onboarding processes.
• Assist with audits, fingerprint file maintenance, and completion of reports as needed.
• Complete department expense coding sheets for review and approval.
• Provide support with employee relations, recruitment, and posting efforts.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative capacity, or an internship in HR may be substituted for experience.
• Basic knowledge of principles and practices of HR/personnel administration.
• Proven capability to multitask and switch gears.
• File management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and switch priorities as needed.
• HRIS experience (various systems) and ATS experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a helpful and friendly demeanor focused on customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other applicable electronic office systems.
• High level of accuracy and confidentiality.
