Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Quorum Hotels. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for maximizing guest satisfaction and ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hotel Operations: Supervise and support the Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Sales, and Housekeeping departments in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Revenue Generation: Assist the General Manager in revenue generation programs and participate in sales efforts by meeting with on-site contacts and greeting important clients.
  • Employee Development: Assist the General Manager in the development of managerial and hourly employees through the implementation of approved training programs.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Create an environment where employees make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction and follow up on all empowerment successes and opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist the General Manager with the creation of financial reports as required by QHR and meet all Corporate imposed deadlines.
  • Property Walks: Conduct regular property walks to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization is occurring according to hotel requirements.
  • Security: Maintain procedures for handling the hotel safe and initiate a monthly safe audit.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3+ years progressive experience in a rooms and/or food and beverage operation.
  • Education: A 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Skills: Previous supervisory experience required, and proficiency in Windows Operating Systems.
